Warm greetings from Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA).

It is my great pleasure to inform all the well-wishers, alpinists, mountaineers of the world about the election of Central Executive Board of NMA held on 5th  August 2017. Presently, I am leading the Central Executive Board of NMA as President for the tenure of three years.

Within the period of these three years, we have to conduct successfully so many exemplary activities for the development of Nepalese mountain tourism. The production of skilled human resources for the safe mountain tourism, conservation of mountaineering environment, local development activities, welfare programs are some of the activities which we have to give continuation. Besides these regular activities, we are also committed for the construction of Manang Mountaineering School and establishment of another mountaineering school of international standard in Langtang. The renovation of current NMA secretariat building has also become one of our top priorities, which we have to fulfill in our tenure.

NMA is the active member of Union of International Alpine Association (UIAA), Union of Asian Alpine Association (UAAA) and International Federation of Sports Climbing (IFSC). The current executive board will try its best to maintain good relation with all the member federation of these international alpine associations. Similarly, as a responsible and only member of IFSC from Nepal, NMA will also regularly organize sport climbing activities. We will also keep on coordinating with Park Young Seok Foundation for the smooth implementation of Park Young Seok Climbing Competition, which started from the last year. The Memorandum of Understanding signed with Park Young Seok Foundation for the distribution of financial scholarship for five students is also one of our major achievement and we will try our best to continue this welfare program in the days to come.

UIAA is in the process of giving recognition of five additional mountains above 8000 me located in Nepal. If we succeed in giving recognition to these peaks, then it will play a pivotal role in the development of our mountain tourism globally. As Honorary Member of UIAA and President of NMA, I would like to assure that my every effort will be directed towards the attainment of this noble objective.

Finally, I would like to request to all the well-wishers of NMA for giving me fresh and creative criticisms to move NMA for the development of our mountain tourism sector. I also would like to express my gratitude to all the friends for their cooperation that they had extended and hope for the same in the future.

Thank you.
