Mountain Leader Instructors refresh their skills

Mountain Leader Instructors under Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) refreshed their skills in a three days workshop which concluded on Thursday at NMA secretariat, Naxal, Kathmandu. Eight Mountain Leader Instructors participated in the workshop.


Dawa Tashi Sherpa, Shes Kanta Sharma, Mani Kumar Rai, Ram Kaji Tiwari, Krishna Kumar Magar, Sarki Sherpa, keshar Shrestha and Man Bahadur Khatri were the participants in the workshop. Certificate Distribution Ceremony was held after the completion of the Workshop at NMA Secretariat. The ceremony was facilitated by the General Secretary of NMA Mr. Kul Bahadur Gurung whereas the President Mr. Santa Bir Lama distributed the certificate of appreciation to all the instructors. Chief Executive Officer Mr. Kul Prasad Rai was also present in the program. 

Mountain Leader Instructor Mr. Dawa Tashi Sherpa highlighted how fruitful the session was for them. This workshop somehow has helped Instructors to refresh their skills and knowledge as they weren’t able to work due to the pandemic for the last two years. 'We get the chance to reinvigorate our skills. We shared our knowledge with each other’, Mountain Leader Instructor Mr. Sherpa Said, ‘We wish this program should be continued in future also.’

President of NMA Lama congratulated all the participants. He also assured that the refresher workshop will continue in the coming days.

‘We are moving ahead with the challenges brought about by coronavirus. It's our responsibility to revitalize mountain tourism. You are the main pillar of mountain tourism’, President Mr. Lama Said, ‘We will work together. I also want to assure you that this program will continue in the days to come.’

General Secretary Gurung and CEO Rai also congratulated and extended the best wishes to the Instructors.
