Nepal Mountaineering Association and Academy embark on a partnership

Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and Nepal Mountain Academy (NMA) have embarked on a partnership for the betterment of Nepal’s mountain tourism.

In a momentous occasion, the presidents of both organizations have come together to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that solidifies their commitment for the collaboration. Mr. Nima Nuru Sherpa, President of NMA, and Mr. Ungdi Tshiring Sherpa, President of Nepal Mountain Academy, officially sealed the pact. This important agreement underscores their shared dedication to the preservation and promotion of Nepal's mountain tourism, further emphasizing their mutual promise not to duplicate each other's programs.

The ceremony was graced by prominent figures such as Mr. Thakur Raj Pandey, Senior Vice President; Mr. Mohan Lamsal, General Secretary; Mr. Kul Prasad Rai, Chief Executive Officer (CEO); Mr. Jinesh Sindurakar, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO); and Mr. Dipendra Gurung, Communication Officer from NMA. Mr. Arjun Rai, Executive Director (ED), and other staff members from the Academy were also present on the occasion.

Following the signing of the MoU, both presidents expressed their happiness. Mr. Nima Nuru Sherpa, President of Nepal Mountaineering Association, remarked, "NMA boasts its golden history of dedicated service to Nepal's mountain tourism and has a well-earned reputation for hands-on mountaineering expertise. Similarly, the Academy has been instrumental in providing academic qualifications regarding mountaineering." He added, "With this agreement, both NMA and the Academy will forge ahead in our respective missions, collaborating harmoniously."

Mr. Ungdi Tshiring Sherpa, President of Nepal Mountain Academy, echoed the sentiments of NMA President Mr. Sherpa, stating, "Starting today, we shall be steadfast partners in each other's missions, offering unwavering support as we work together to advance our shared goals."
