Certificate distribution program

Nepal Mountaineering Association organized a certificate distribution program on 12 March 2020 at Hotel Le HIMALAYA, lazimpat. Nepal Mountaineering Association conducts various training programs to build skilled technical human resources in the mountains. Participants who attended the 28th Advanced Moutaineering Training, Mountain Leader Training Winter Component and component II and High Mountain Rescue Training were awarded with the certificates. The ceremony was held amidst the Chief Guest Honorable Minister Parbat Gurung, Ministry of Women, children and Senior Citizen, Director of Department of Tourism Ms Mira Acharya and other delegates from different mountain related organizations and board members from NMA. 

In the same event a MOU was signed between NMA and Mount Everest Summiteer Club, Rolwaling to monitor the climbing peaks in that area. NMA also signed an agreement with Nepal Mountaineering Instructor Association to conduct various training programs to produce more Human Resources in the Mountains. 

Honorable minister Parbat Gurung applauded the effort NMA has been doing for the mountaineering in Nepal since 46 years. He added the course content of the course has been instrumental in generating skilled human resources for safety in the mountains. 
Director of Department of Tourism, Mira Acharya stressed on the program NMA has been conducting for the development of mountain tourism in Nepal. She focused on how NMA has trained skilled Human Resources to cater the safety of the Mountain Tourism Industry.

A total of 65 training participants were awarded with the certificate of achievement for the training courses. 26 in Advanced Mountaineering Training, 11 in Mountains Leader Winter Component, 13 in Mountain Leader Component II and 15 in High Mountain Rescue Training were awarded with certificates. Till date Nepal Mountaineering Association has provided training to 2357 mountaineering aspirants. 

The program was chaired by President of Nepal Mountaineering Association, Mr. Santa Bir Lama and hosted by Acting General Secretary of Nepal Mountaineering Association Mr. Tika Ram Gurung.
