NMA's authority to issue permit reinstated- 4 Jan
The Supreme Court decided to continue the interim order it had issued against the government's decision to prevent Nepal Mountaineering Association from issuing climbing permits for 27 mountains. On 9 October 2015, Government of Nepal decided to withdraw the authority of NMA to issue climbing permits and mandated the Department of Tourism to handle all NMA peaks. After a discussion with government attorneys, officials and other stakeholders, including NMA representatives, the apex court decided to continue its stay order on 3 Jan 2016. A division bench of justices Devendra Gopal Shrestha and Baidya Nath Upadhyay issued the order. On 7 Dec 2015, a single bench of Justice Om Prakash Mishra had issued an interim order against the decision taken by the Council of Ministers.

Inauguration Program of Photography Exhibition Corner Jerusalem, Isreal- 24 Jan
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mr Ananda Raj Pokhrel inaugurated photography exhibition corner, Jerulsalem Isreal in International Mountain Museum(IMM), Pokhara on 24 Jan 2016. His Excellency of Israel, Mr. Yarom Mayor was the special guest of the inauguration program. Representatives from different government officials, tourism entrepreneurs, NMA-Annapurna Chapter Committee Members, NMA officials, staff of IMM, local peoples and media members participated in the program. The exhibition corner includes the exhibition of different important places and floricultures of Israel. The most important part of the exhibition hall is the display of stone from the top of the world- Mt. Everest and lowest part of the world, Dead Sea of Israel.

IIIrd Park Young Seok Climbing Competition- 30 Jan
Nepal Mountaineering Association in coordination with Park Young Seok Foundation organized IIIrd Park Young Seok Climbing Competition Lead (M & W) to promote sport climbing activities in Nepal on 30th January 2016.Minister of Cultural Tourism nad Civil Aviation, Mr Ananda Prasad Pokharel was the chief guest and President of UAAA, Dr. In-Jeong Lee was the special guest of the program. In this competition, there were 29 male participants and 11 female participants and result of the program is as follows.
