Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) discussed with representatives of NITWOG (Nepal Independent Tourism Workers’ Guild) regarding their Demands

Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) discussed with representatives of NITWOG (Nepal Independent Tourism Workers’ Guild) regarding their demands.
The meeting was focused on five-points demands submitted by NITWOG before NMA regarding mountain guide license, permits system, training and including other issues.
A consensus has been reached between two sides to permanently settle the issues after having further discussion.
President Mr. Nima Nuru Sherpa, Senior Vice President Mr. Thakur Raj Pandey, Ist Vice President Mr. Ang Dawa Sherpa, General Secretary Mr. Mohan Lamsal, Secretary Mr. Dhan Bahadur Gurung & Treasurer Mr. Mukti Pandey were present at the discussion.
Executive Board Members Mr. Pitamber Gurung, Mr. Namgyal Jangbu Sherpa, Mr, Tul Sing Gurung, Mr, Lal Bahadur Waiba, Ms. Doma Sherpa, Ms. Nima Doma Sherpa, Mr. Rajendra Bahadur Lama, Mr. Singi Lama and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Kul Prasad Rai were also present at the discussion on behalf of NMA.
President Mr. Ram Kaji Tiwari ‘‘Prayas’’ and Treasurer Mr. Kundan Kshetry represented the NITWOG at the discussion. President of MoGAN (Mountain Guide Association of Nepal) Mr. Sanjib Gurung was also present at the discussion.
NMA president Sherpa vowed to settle the issues in a win-win situation.
‘‘We are positive about your demands. But, let us listen to the other side too’’, Before concluding the meeting, President Sherpa said. ‘‘I believe that we can reach on an agreement very soon and the agreement will be win-win situation to all of us.’’
