The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) initiated an important meeting with Nepal's Ambassador-designates to various countries to brief and urge to actively support and promote Nepal's mountain tourism within their respective diplomatic assignments.
During this meeting, NMA presented Ambassador-designate Mr. Sudhir Bhattarai for France, Ambassador-designate Mr. Tej Bahadur Chhetri for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Ambassador-designate Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli for Thailand. NMA President, Mr. Nima Nuru Sherpa, General Secretary, Mr. Mohan Lamsal, and Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Jinesh Sindurakar, provided these diplomats with comprehensive insights into Nepal's mountain tourism. They also shared a range of strategic ideas to enhance its promotion within their host countries.
The NMA had also invited chiefs of various tourism-related organizations to participate in this discussion. Among them were Dr. Dhananjaya Regmi, Chief Executive Officer of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Mr. Nil Hari Bastola, President of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN), along with General Secretary, Mr. Binod Sapkota, Mr. Dambar Parajuli, President of the Expedition Operator’s Association (EOA), and General Secretary, Mr. Shiva Raj Thapa, Mr. Binayak Shah, President of the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), and General Secretary, Mr. Sajan Shakya, and Mr. Shiva Adhikari, President of the Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA).
All attendees actively contributed suggestions and recommendations to the Ambassador-designates aimed at bolstering Nepal's tourism sector and attracting more tourists to Nepal.
